Moravec Hall, recently completed building for Ivy Tech Community College's Columbus Campus, is the winning design from an invited competition sponsored by the Cummins Foundation Architecture Program. The school's multiple uses are housed under one roof, and wrap around the top-lit 'Social Spine'. A Grand Stair cascades with communal workspaces at each landing, and leads out at its lower level toward the Student Commons facing a quad shared with two other institutions. The Social Spine, the active heart of the school, is further animated by a sculptural ceiling pulling in the changing daylight.
